NAUGATUCK — The borough will collect leaves curbside over three weeks starting this month.
Leaves will be collected on the weeks of Oct 22 through Oct. 26, Nov. 13 through Nov. 16 and Nov. 26 through Nov. 30 on residents’ regular trash collection day. Leaves and other soft yard waste material, like weeds and dead flowers, must be in 30-gallon paper bags. Leaves and pine needles are accepted at the recycling center on Rubber Avenue. They must be in paper bags only.
Brush and branches, no larger than 5 to 6 inches in diameter, and between 2 feet and 6 feet long can be brought to the recycling center. Small pieces of trimmings, thorns and vines can be put out for regular trash collection.
