BEACON FALLS — Three students at Woodland Regional High School have been expelled after being found in possession of marijuana on school grounds.

The Region 16 Board of Education held three separate disciplinary hearings on Jan. 20, which resulted in the expulsion of three students who had marijuana on school property.
At least one of the students was found to have also consumed marijuana on school grounds, according to hearing minutes.

The minutes also indicate that all three incidents occurred on Dec. 23, 2014.

The students’ names were not released. The three will not be allowed to return to school or attend school functions until Dec. 22, 2015.
