Hundreds of people turned out for a vigil Monday night in Naugatuck to remember the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. The town of Beacon Falls is participating in a statewide vigil Sunday. –LUKE MARSHALL

BEACON FALLS — The town will take part in a statewide vigil Sunday to remember the victims of the Newtown shooting.

The vigil will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Tracy Lewis House, 35 Wolfe Ave. Everyone is welcome to attend.

On Saturday, the Beacon Falls Police Department and Beacon Hose Company No. 1 are holding a boot drive to raise funds for the families affected by the Newtown shooting.

The drive will be held in front of the firehouse, 35 North Main St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
