Beacon Hose member Tory Childs participates in a training seminar on Jan. 7 at the firehouse at 35 N Main St. Beacon Hose Co. No. 1 EMS member partook in Tactical Emergency Casualty Care training which is given by Yale New Haven Hospital’s Center for EMS. Members learned methods and techniques needed to treat victims of mass shooting ordeals. Some of the procedures included advanced airway maneuvers and applying tourniquets very quickly.
