Beacon Falls man facing sexual assault charges

policestarBEACON FALLS — A local man has been charged on two warrants with several charges including risk of injury to a child and sexual assault, state police said.

Police on Monday charged Tyler Holland, 23, of 40 Noe Place, B9, in two cases. Officers found Holland at his home and took him into custody without incident, police said in a release.

In one case, Holland was charged with risk of injury to a child, second-degree sexual assault of a victim under age 16 who is mentally unable to give consent and fourth-degree sexual assault without consent of a victim under age 16.

In the second case, Holland was charged with risk of injury to a child and second-degree sexual assault of a victim under age 16.

Few details were given about the cases in the releases from Troop I in Bethany.

Holland was held on a $75,000 bond in each matter to be arraigned Wednesday at Milford Superior Court. His court date was continued to July 10. He is being held on a $50,000 bond in both cases.

Police also recently had charged Holland with interfering with an officer or resisting arrest and violation of a protective order.
