BEACON FALLS — Tax bills will be mailed out by July 8.
The late mailing is due to the fact that the town’s $6.12 million 2013-14 budget was not passed until June 25. Approval of the town budget came a week after residents in Beacon Falls and Prospect voted to approve Region 16’s $38.5 million budget for the coming school year at a referendum. The 2013-14 mill rate is 31.9 mills.
Taxpayers will not incur any interest on their bills if paid by Aug. 8. For more information, call the tax department at (203) 723-5244.
