BEACON FALLS — Town Republicans will announce new candidates Saturday for the November election.
On July 23, the Republican Town Committee endorsed a full slate of candidates. But, many of the candidates didn’t seek nomination. The majority of those endorsed were done so to fill vacancies in order to ensure the committee could replace them with other candidates at a later time.
First Selectman Gerard Smith will introduce the candidates for the Republican slate Saturday at 9 a.m. in Volunteer Park behind the fire house. All are welcome to attend the announcement. In case of rain, the announcement will be held inside the Senior Center.
