Beacon Falls Dems to kickoff campaign with party

BEACON FALLS — The Beacon Falls Democratic Town Committee will kick off the campaign season with a cocktail party fundraiser.

“A social gathering of candidates will kick off the political season beginning with a cocktail party fundraiser with sponsors, friends and families,” Chair of the Beacon Falls Democratic Town Committee Kathy Grace stated in a news release. “We believe this event will be one of the highlights of our fundraising activities.”

The cocktail party will be held on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. at 53 Lancaster Road, Industrial Park, in Beacon Falls. The suggested donation is $25.

The Democratic Town Committee of Beacon Falls is pleased with the talented and committed group of candidates in the 2011 political campaign, the release stated.

First Selectman Susan Cable brings experience, leadership and a proven record of local, state and federal responsibility in fiscal management and securing grants, the release stated.

She looks forward to continued work with Board of Finance Chair Chris Bielik when he is Selectman, the release stated. Bielik has proven leadership experience as a military commander and financial manager. Combined they have the management skills necessary to get the job done for the betterment of our community in both short and long-term initiatives.

The nominated slate of candidates in this campaign all have strong backgrounds and experience in the positions they are running for, this is a winning ticket, the release stated.
