NAUGATUCK — David Rotatori, senior vice president and chief risk officer at Nutmeg Financial, MHC has been chosen as a “New Leader in Banking” for 2011.

The Connecticut Bankers Association and Connecticut Banking magazine asked bankers throughout the Nutmeg State to nominate individuals that they believe are rising stars in the banking profession. Nominees needed to be employed at a Connecticut bank, be 50 years of age or younger, and be making a significant contribution to their institution or community.

Rotatori is among a handful of other individuals that were chosen with this distinguished honor and will be recognized Jan. 12 during a Gala Awards Ceremony and dinner at Foxwoods.

“All of us at Naugatuck Savings Bank are extremely proud of David” said Mark Yanarella, chief executive officer at Naugatuck Savings Bank in a news release. “David makes a significant contribution to our bank and our community. David shares Naugatuck Savings Bank’s philosophy of continually striving to make our community a better place to live and work.”

Rotatori is a certified public accountant with more than 20 years of experience in financial services organizations. He is a lifelong resident of Naugatuck and currently serves on the board of directors at the United Way of Naugatuck and Beacon Falls and the Naugatuck Economic Development Committee.
