Acts 4 Ministry announces benefit concert
WATERBURY — Acts 4 Ministry is holding its 3rd annual benefit concert Saturday at the First Assembly of God church located at 1245 Thomaston Ave.
The concert, which begins at 7 p.m., will feature blues, jazz, soul, and Christian soul bands. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door and are available through the www.acts4.org website or by calling (203) 509-5224.
All proceeds will benefit Acts 4 Ministry and their efforts to provide for those in need in the greater Waterbury community.
Seymour church holding Taste of Poland
SEYMOUR — Seymour Congregational Church’s 2oth Taste of Poland will be held Saturday from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Women’s health lecture to be held in Middlebury
MIDDLEBURY — The Center for Women’s Health and Naugatuck Valley Radiology is hosting a women’s’ health lecture.
The lecture, “Sex and The Brass City,” will be presented by Dr. Marcia Tejeda Nov. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Middlebury Consignment, 1365 Whittemore Road. Tejeda will cover issues regarding sexual health.

Easter Seals holding ladies night out
WATERBURY — The 5th Annual Ladies Night Out to benefit Easter Seals will be held on Nov. 9, from 5:30 to 10 p.m., at the Courtyard by Marriott on Grand Street in Waterbury.
The fee for exhibitors to sell their products is $125. Tickets are $40 per person. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Tables of 10 can be reserved. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Salvation Army to host awards breakfast
WATERBURY — The Salvation Army of Greater Waterbury will honor community volunteers at its 4th annual Kettle Kick-Off Breakfast Nov. 8.
Award recipients have been chosen for their ongoing selfless volunteerism to improve the lives of fellow residents within the Waterbury area. This year’s honorees are Ron Boulanger, Firefighters Bill Unwin and George Hamilton of the Waterbury Fire Department, WATR-AM, Capt. Mary-Ellen Blake, Naugatuck Savings Bank Foundation, and Scott and Liana St. Germain.
The ceremony will be held from 7:45 to 9:45 a.m. at the Ponte Club, 380 Farmwood Road in Waterbury. Tickets are $40 per person or $400 for a table of 10. Oxford holding arts and crafts show
OXFORD — Oxford’s 41st Annual Arts and Crafts Show will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Waterbury Symphony Orchestra presents Bolero
WATERBURY — The Waterbury Symphony Orchestra will present the concert, Bolero Nov. 4
The concert will feature eight guest artists —Kim Collins, flute; Daniel Corr, guitar; Itamar Zorman, violin; Jennifer Aylmer, soprano and the members of the WSO Percussion Quartet: Peter Courtsouridis, Mike Dobson, Tim Keane and Murray Mast.

Cheshire Masons holding craft show
CHESHIRE — A pre-holiday craft show featuring handcrafted items will be held Nov. 3 in Cheshire.

OLLI offers driver safety course
WATERBURY — The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Connecticut in Waterbury will offer an AARP Driver Safety Courses Nov. 12 from, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Waterbury campus.
To receive a certificate, participants must attend one of the 4 ½ hour classes. The cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. The program is free for veterans. Fees are payable on the first day of class in the classroom. To register, call (203) 236-9924 or e-mail osher@uconn.ed.
