ANSONIA — State Sen. Joseph Crisco (D-17) is hosting his annual senior fair today.
The fair is being held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Warsaw Park, 119 Pulaski Highway, Ansonia.
“I want to encourage all area seniors to attend — more than 40 non-profit groups, state and local agencies, and civic organizations with helpful products and services for seniors are registered to exhibit at this year’s Senior Fair,” Crisco said in a news release. “There is no substitute for face-to-face contact with those who can benefit; vendors routinely describe the pleasure they take interacting on a personal level with senior citizens at this event.”
Senior citizens from throughout the area are invited to attend and participate. The fair features free glaucoma screenings, free therapeutic massages, and free dental screenings. Admission to the event is free for residents of the 17th Senatorial District, which covers Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bethany, Derby, Hamden, Naugatuck and Woodbridge. A box lunch will be provided to those who attend.
