NAUGATUCK — The Howard Whittemore Library will present “An Evening with Abraham Lincoln” on Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m.

“An Evening with Abraham Lincoln” begins with a medley of Civil War-era songs performed by Rosanne Shea, arranged and accompanied by musical Director Tom Cruciani.

President Lincoln interweaves keen personal and political insight into a beguiling narrative of events leading to the war.
The performance offers a dramatic presentation of scenes at the White House, featuring Lincoln’s countrified humor as well as his public speeches. Throughout the evening, music is interwoven into the program.

Mary Lincoln makes a cameo appearance in the tragic final scene at Ford’s Theater. Carol Deleppo will portray the First Lady in the Feb. 16 appearance and Evelyn Rinaldi will portray the First Lady in the Feb. 21 appearance.

Lewis Dube, who has studied at Yale Drama School, is a nationally recognized Lincoln actor, appearing at venues across the country including several presidential libraries. He has also appeared on ABC, CBS, History Channel, Fox, and CPTV. For information, contact Lewis Dube, dubeaslincoln@yahoo.com.
