NAUGATUCK — Absentee ballots for the Nov. 5 election are now available in the Town Clerk’s office.

To obtain an absentee ballot, registered voters must first fill out an application. Absentee ballots are available for people who will be unable to vote in person for the following reasons: active service in the Armed Forces, absence from the town during all the hours of voting, illness, physical disability, religious tenets which forbid such activity on Election Day and duties as a primary, election or referendum official at a polling place other than their own during all the hours of voting.

Applications and absentee ballots can be picked up at the Town Clerk’s office in Town Hall, 229 Church St., from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call the office at (203) 720-7055.
