NAUGATUCK — Kristina Wallace resigned this month as associate principal of Naugatuck High School to take another job.

Wallace’s last day was Nov. 1. She left to take the assistant principal job at Avon Middle School.

“I am grateful for having had the opportunity to partner with the learning community at Naugatuck High School and Naugatuck Public Schools, as a member of the leadership team, in my time here,” Wallace wrote in her Oct. 2 resignation letter.

The Board of Education hired Wallace in June 2018 and she started at Naugatuck High the next month.

Human Resources Director John Lawlor said administrators were working to fill the associate principal vacancy.

Correction: An earlier version of this article reported former Naugatuck High School Associate Principal Kristina Wallace left to take the principal job at Avon Middle School. She is the assistant principal at Avon Middle School.
