NAUGATUCK — The borough is hosting a bonfire celebration Wednesday night to rekindle what was once a tradition in Naugatuck.

The event, which is hosted by Mayor N. Warren “Pete” Hess and Naugatuck High School class of 2020 officers, is a celebration designed to bring together friends, family and Naugatuck High alumni the night before Naugatuck High’s annual Thanksgiving football game against Ansonia High School. It used to be a tradition in Naugatuck.

The celebration is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on the Green on Church Street. It will feature music and socializing. At 5:30 p.m., class officers will present a program with speakers, including Hess, football coaches and Naugatuck High football alumni.
