BEACON FALLS — Beacon Falls Public Library’s new director isn’t a stranger around the library.

The town has hired Elizabeth Setaro as library director to replace former Library Director Susan Dowdell, who resigned in June. Setaro worked as the assistant library director from 2013 until she was named library director in late July. She started as a volunteer at the library in 2012.

According to an employment offer made to Setaro, she will be paid $31.97 per hour, which will be adjusted based on the implementation of a new collective bargaining agreement.

The library director position is part of the Local 1303-423 of AFSCME union. Setaro is eligible to enroll in the town’s health insurance plan and participate in the town’s deferred compensation savings plan.
