PROSPECT — Summit Road will be closed to thru traffic Wednesday while work is done to replace a drainage pipe.
Mayor Robert Chatfield said a drainage pipe that runs beneath the width of the road in the area of 57 and 58 Summit Road rotted and needs to be replaced. He said the road is scheduled to be closed all day and reopen in the evening.
Summit Road residents will have access to their homes, Chatfield said, and police will be stationed on the road during construction.
Chatfield said Joe’s Refuse Removal will change its route Wednesday to collect trash from homes on Summit Road first, before the road is closed. He asked residents to have their trash by the curbside early.
