PROSPECT — After a round of milling and paving all or parts of about a dozen roads in town, work to replace catch basins on two streets is up next.

Mayor Robert Chatfield said eight catch basins will be replaced on Bronson Road, starting at Route 68 and heading up the road, and six catch basins will be replaced on Pinecrest Drive, starting at Route 69.

The town also plans to close Summit Road on Aug. 15 to replace a drain pipe that runs across the road. Chatfield said the work is expected to take a day and the road should be reopened by the evening commute.

  1. Mayor Chatfield’s leadership of the town of Prospect should not be taken for granted. He eats and sleeps the town of Prospect and deserves another win! If it ain’t broke….don’t “fix”! I’m an Independent and have been all my life!
