Spring festival set for Saturday

NAUGATUCK — The borough will celebrate the season Saturday at the annual Ion Bank/Naugatuck Spring Festival.

The festival kicks off at 3 p.m. downtown. Church Street from the Naugatuck Green to Rubber Avenue will be closed and filled with craft and food vendors. A car show will take place along Old Firehouse Road, and there will be live entertainment provided by Parkway Diner, a Billy Joel cover band, and the Rubber City Blues Band.

There will also be activities for children, including an inflatable obstacle course and a light up inflatable bounce house, in the municipal parking lot between Old Firehouse Road and Church Street.
