Copper wiring, piping stolen from home

BEACON FALLS — Police are investigating the theft of copper piping and copper wiring from a vacant home on Rimmon Hill Road.

Police said an officer responded to 440 Rimmon Hill Road shortly before 9 a.m. April 27 after a neighbor reported the front door was open. Police said the front door was damaged and looked like it had been forced open.

A search of the house, which is being foreclosed on and was empty, revealed that copper piping and copper wiring were missing from the basement. The piping looked like it had been cut with a saw, police said.
