Police seek help to locate suspect

NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck police are seeking the public’s help to locate a suspect wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident from Walmart late last year.

Police said they have an outstanding arrest warrant for 18-year-old Trevor Robles, whose last known address was Cooke Street in Waterbury, charging him with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny.

Naugatuck police spokesman Lt. C. Colin McAllister said the warrant stems from a shoplifting incident that occurred on Dec. 30, 2018 at Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road. Robles, who has a tattoo of an elephant on his neck, is one of three people police suspect broke into a display case and stole $5,317.00 worth of merchandise, mostly Apple products, from the store.

Two men, William Higgins of West Haven and Stephen Verity of Shelton, turned themselves in in February on warrants in connection with the incident. Police haven’t been able to locate Robles, McAllister said.

Police asked anyone with information on Robles’ whereabouts to contact the Naugatuck Police Department at 203-729-5221. Police advised people not to approach Robles if they see him.
