WATERBURY — Helen Niedzial, 95, passed away peacefully at Glendale Health Center on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019.

She was born in Waterbury on Oct. 21, 1923, daughter of the late Emil and Josephine (Ploski) Niedzialkowski. A lifelong resident of Waterbury, she graduated from Wilby High School in 1941. Helen retired as payroll supervisor from Scovill Century Brass after 41 years of service. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Waterbury.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Linda Castro (George) of Prospect, Gregory and Regina, and Francine Scricca Przybysz of Jacksonville, Fla.; and grandnieces and grandnephews; Justin (Emily) Scricca, Lauren Scricca, and Anne and Michael Castro. Helen was predeceased by her siblings, Agnes (Frank) Przybysz, Theresa Sawoski (Joseph), Marie Niedzial, and Carl (Judy) Niedzial.

The family sends a special thank you to the caregivers at Glendale Health Center for the excellent care given to Helen during her stay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, is assisting the family with arrangements.
