BEACON FALLS — The Board of Selectmen last week approved a contract with Waterbury-based Superior HVAC & Tank Removal to pump the oil out of the two tanks, disconnect and remove the tanks, and haul everything away from the town-owned property at 35 Wolfe Ave.

The work will cost the town approximately $800.

The future of the house and property, which was purchased by the town for $375,000 in 2008, is unclear. The town bought the house with the intention of building a library and media center on the property. Those plans never moved forward and the house may have to be demolished before anything is done with the property.
