HARTFORD — Several local lawmakers are among the new caucus leaders for House Republicans.

State Rep. Lezyle Zupkus, R-Prospect, is one of the four deputy leaders at large.

“I have served on a number of committees and in different leadership roles and will use my experience to help move our caucus strategy forward,” Zupkus said in a press release.

State Reps. David K. Labriola, R-Oxford, and Rosa C. Rebimbas, R-Naugatuck, will be caucus whips.

House Republicans also announced committee assignments.

Rebimbas will return as the ranking House Republican on the Judiciary Committee. She will also maintain her role on the Legislative Management Committee, and she will now serve on the Public Health Committee.

Zupkus will serve on the appropriations, environment and internship committees.

State Rep. Nicole Klarides-Ditria, R-Seymour, is the ranking House member of the bipartisan Regulation Review Committee.
