WATERBURY — Michael “Bob” Grzywacz, 83, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 at Beacon Brook Health Center in Naugatuck. He is the husband of the late Constance (Merritt) Grzywacz.
Mr. Grzywacz was born April 23, 1935 in Scranton, Pa., the son of the late Michael and Sophie (Witkowski) Grzywacz. He was Waterbury resident for the past 19 years having previously resided in Goshen. He was a retired oil worker for Seymour Specialty Wire Company.
He is survived by his children, Christopher R. Grzywacz of Milford, Mucket Grzywacz of Plymouth, Linda Tribble of Naugatuck and Michelle Brock of Waterbury; his brother, Richard Grzywacz of Seymour; his sister, Dorothy Kisson of Seymour; his grandchildren, Amanda, Kayla, Reanna, Cody, Billy, Jackson, Katora, Shanessa, Jennifer, Melissa, Ryan and Trey; his great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Nevaeh, Janiece, Gerome, Jerone and Trey. Besides his wife and his parents, he is predeceased by his children, Debbie Grzywacz, Michel Grzywacz III, William H. Grzywacz, John A. Grywacz and Elizabeth Grzywacz; as well as his brother, Joseph Grzywacz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements.
