BEACON FALLS — Gerald Andrews passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at the Waterbury Hospital.

He was born on July 13, 1935 in Newfoundland, the son of Joseph and Martha Andrews. The family moved from Newfoundland to Detroit, Mich. While living in Detroit, Gerry met the love of his life Sara Holston and they married Oct. 11, 1958. They moved to NYC where Gerry became an enormously successful freelance artist, Gerry was sought out by Columbia Records and others requesting his art to use for many album covers of musicians, composers and vocalists.

Upon learning that Sara was pregnant with their first child, Miriam, Gerry decided to take an offer from ABC Television Art Department. Gerry worked for ABC television, where he received many awards including two Emmy awards and retired after 40 years.

In recent years, Gerry and Sara moved to Beacon Falls and quickly settled in. Gerry loved the small town life and made lots of friends around town. Gerry was a 40-plus year member of AA and sponsored and mentored many people. Spirituality was one of his many passions and he loved helping people.
