BEACON FALLS — Ann W. (Walsh) Mis, 90, widow of Edmund Mis, passed away at the Lutheran Home of Southbury peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019.

She was born in Waterbury on Dec. 20, 1928, daughter of the late John and Anna (Mahoney) Walsh. Ann was a longtime resident of Beacon Falls and retired from Scovill Hamilton Beach after many years serving as executive secretary. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church and a member of the Evergreen Club at Waterbury Hospital.

Ann is survived by her children, James Mis and his wife, Mary, of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and Carolyn Duhaime and her husband, Peter, of Derby; her grandchildren, John and Daniel Mis; her great-grandchildren, Mikayla Ann and Lexi Mis; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Francis Walsh, retired battalion chief of the Waterbury Fire Department, and Raymond Walsh; and her sister, Eleanor Dodd.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to St. Michael’s Church, 25 Maple Ave., for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
