WATERBURY — Habitat for Humanity of Greater Waterbury has named Naugatuck resident Arlene Greco its executive director.

Greco has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 30 years and has led community outreach and development for the past 14 years, a press release stated. In 2018, the Valley Women’s Health Initiative named her as a Women Making a Difference in the Valley, recognizing her as an outstanding woman who has made positive contributions to the community.

“I am honored to lead Habitat for Humanity. I’m equally excited to have an opportunity to grow the organization and their impact in our region” said Greco in the release.

Greco replaced Keith Weston, who retired as executive director in December.

“We’re grateful for Keith’s leadership and we’re looking forward to the future under Arlene’s direction,” said Michael Ferry, president of the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Waterbury Board of Directors, in the release. “Arlene has a strong background in community development and shares our organization’s passion for making a positive impact in the community.”
