SEYMOUR — Lois Jean Peck, 65, of Seymour, the beloved wife of 42 years of Richard T. Peck, entered into eternal rest peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018.

Lois was born in Derby on Feb. 3, 1953, daughter of the late William and Mary Ann Preneta Pidlipchak. She was a devout communicant of St. Michael Church of Derby. She was a graduate of Seymour High School, Class of 1970 and graduated from Sacred Heart University in 1974 with a B.S. in education. Lois continued her education at Southern Connecticut State University, receiving her sixth year certificate. She was a retired reading consultant for the Seymour Board of Education, finishing her career of 35 years at the Chatfield-LoPresti School.

Lois was an avid reader and loved to make pierogis. She was very active in supporting our troops overseas, working with a committee of residents that sent care packages at Christmas to our service men and women in the Middle East. Most of all, Lois loved to spend time with her family and many friends. She will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts.

Her loving family in addition to her husband, Rich, includes her two brothers, William Pidlipchak of Seymour and John Pidlipchak and his wife, Maria, of Orange; her two cherished nieces, Emma and Lindsey Pidlipchak; and many loving cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018 at 10 a.m. directly at St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave., Derby. Interment in the family plot at St. Michael Cemetery in Derby will follow the Mass. Friends and relatives may call at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (Route 67, across from Klarides Village), Seymour on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Memorial gifts in memory of Lois may be made to Smilow Cancer Center through the funeral home.
