NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Town Green Gazebo Committee is continuing to raise funds for a new gazebo.
The Gazebo on the Green in 2019 community project started earlier this year with a goal of raising $20,000 to buy and install a new gazebo by Memorial Day weekend next year. The project includes beautifying the immediate area around the gazebo with a variety of flowers, shrubs and plants.
The committee, which is made up of a number of organizations in the borough, has raised almost $4,000 so far.
Donations for the project can be made by sending a check made out to “Christ the King Church” with “Gazebo 2019” in the memo area to Christ the King Church, P.O. Box 68, Naugatuck, CT 06770. Donations are tax-deductible, and a donation receipt will be mailed to each donor.
The committee consists of the following organizations: Christ the King Church, the Congregational Church of Naugatuck, St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, the Naugatuck Arts Commission, the Naugatuck Beautification Committee, the Naugatuck Garden Club and the Naugatuck Historical Society.
