Obituary: Alice Lucille (Robinson) Johnson

NAUGATUCK — Alice Lucille (Robinson) Johnson, 94, passed away Oct. 26, 2018 at her home. She was the wife of the late Ernest L. Johnson, who passed away in 1996.

Mrs. Johnson was born June 9, 1924 in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Margarite (Peck) Robinson. She was a school crossing guard for the Bridgeport School System and had worked at Bridgeport Brass as an inspector for bullets and shells during WWII. She was a member of the former Salem Lutheran Church and was a member of the Eastern Star.

Throughout her years she was a member of the Red Hats Guild, the Pocahontas of Red Men’s Club, as well as a board member of the Rainbow Girls. She enjoyed bingo and senior citizen meetings.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sons Arthur P. Johnson (Anne) of New Windsor, N.Y., and Ralph E. Johnson (Cynthia) of Kalispel, Mont.; her daughters, Verna M. Johnson (Paul) of Naugatuck and Janet Petronis (Bruno) of Oxford; her grandchildren, Eric Johnson (Alison), Marlaine Scotto (Anthony), Christopher Petronis (Dorota), Douglas Petronis (Trish), Tracy Warakonski, Michael Johnson, Mary Flemming (John); her great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Evelyn Johnson, Dominick and Vincent Scotto, Daniel, Deanna and Nicole Petronis, Andrew and Sophia Petronis, Ria Storm, Haley Johnson, Ryan and Garrett Fleming; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, Arthur, Donald and Edward Robinson.

Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. There are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements.
