NAUGATUCK — MaryEllen Dulina, 71, beloved wife of John J. Dulina, III of Naugatuck, died peacefully on June 7, 2018 in St. Mary’s Hospital of Waterbury surrounded by her loving family. Born in Derby on June 14, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Walter Walsh, Sr. and Mary Drewelus Walsh.

Mrs. Dulina was a 1964 graduate of Ansonia High School and worked as an administrative assistant for Dobbin Management for 13 years, until the time of her illness. She enjoyed cooking, especially making homemade pierogis and loved all things about Maine, lighthouses, the ocean coast and lobsters.

In addition to her husband of 51 years, she is survived by her devoted children, John Dulina, IV of Plymouth, Mass., Cheryl Dulina of Naugatuck, Michelle Dziubina and her husband, Chris, of Beacon Falls; cherished granddaughter and love of her life, Emily Sturtevant of Naugatuck; goddaughter, Margaret Cyrul and her husband, Daniel, of Seymour; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

The family wishes to thank the medical staff of St. Mary’s Oncology and The Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center for their compassionate care extended to MaryEllen in her time of need.

Funeral services will take place from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia, on Monday, June 11, 2018, at 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. in the Our Lady of Loreto Church, 12 Ardsley Road, Waterbury. Entombment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to Mass.
