Beacon Hose reports March calls

BEACON FALLS — Beacon Hose Company No. 1 responded to 56 emergency medical service calls and 32 fire calls in March, the company reported.

The company also provided fire mutual aid to Naugatuck and Bethany, and EMS mutual aid in Naugatuck, Seymour and Oxford. All calls, including drills and work details, and stand-by hours resulted in over 500 man hours of service, the company reported.

The department also conducted training exercises, including rope rescue and knots, water rescue, N-95 mask and fit testing, and miscellaneous tool techniques.
