Obituary: Robert D. Wooster Sr.

NAUGATUCK — Robert D. Wooster Sr., 86, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the widow of Lois (Grabowski) Wooster, who predeceased him in 2014 after 62 years of marriage.

Mr. Wooster was born Oct. 19, 1931 in Williamsport, Pa., son of the late Allan and Helen (Deischer) Wooster.

Robert was the managing director for Alloy Foundries in Naugatuck for many years before moving to Chicago to take a job as the vice president of Adjustable Clamp Company. Robert and his wife retired to Las Vegas for 10 years before returning to Chicago.

He is survived by his son Robert D. Wooster Jr. and his wife, Linda Wooster, of Long Grove, Ill.; a daughter, Doreen and her husband, Anthony Lamanno, of Middlebury with whom he resided with; and three grandchildren, Robert D. Wooster III, Christopher Wooster and Anthony “A.J” Lamanno.

A calling hour for Mr. Wooster will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 10 a.m. until words of remembrance are shared at 11 a.m. at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St., Naugatuck. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
