NAUGATUCK — Dorothy B. Cluen, 90, the widow of John W. “Jack” Cluen, died peacefully on April 16, 2018 at Beacon Brook Health Center.
Dorothy was born on July 29, 1927 in New York, N.Y., a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Dempsey) Fischer, and had lived in Naugatuck for most of her life. Dorothy was a devout catholic and a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Dorothy was a member of the Naugatuck Garden Club and the Naugatuck Council of Catholic Women. Dorothy was well known and loved in Naugatuck and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Christine Bush and her husband, Randy, of New York, N.Y.; her son, John J. Cluen and his wife, Marilyn, of Germantown, Md.; her five grandchildren, Joseph Cluen (Mandy), Connor Bush, Liam Bush, Terence Bush (Molly) and Kyle Bush. In addition to her husband and her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her sister, Marjorie Scollin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Everyone attending is asked to please meet at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
