Obituary: Sally A. (Cook) Schilke

NAUGATUCK — Sally A. (Cook) Schilke, 76, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Waterbury Hospital.

Sally was born in Watertown, March 28, 1941, daughter of the late Everett and Minnie (Palmatier) Cook Sr. She was raised in Watertown and was a graduate of W.F. Kaynor Technical High School’s seamstress program in Waterbury and worked as a bus driver for Human Resource Development. She enjoyed all kinds of crafting including sewing, knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitch and ceramics.

Sally leaves three sons, Vincent A. Lupachino Jr. (Lori Martell) of Watertown, Richard S. Lupachino (Maya) of New Jersey, and Perry R. Lupachino (Terri Goffredo) of Oakville; a daughter, Shellie A. Hertel (Richard) of Naugatuck; two brothers, John Cook of South Carolina, and Everett Cook Jr. of Pennsylvania; a sister, Beverly Sklanka of Watertown; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sally was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Clark.

A memorial service will be celebrated 1 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018, at United Methodist Church, 305 Main St., Watertown. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., Watertown, is assisting the family with arrangements.
