The Beacon Falls Library and the Howard Whittemore Library are participating in the Connecticut Library Association’s Passport to Connecticut Libraries program.

The program, which is based on the CT Wine Trail Passport program, runs from April 2 through April 30. During that time, library patrons can pick up a passport at a participating library and begin visiting other participating libraries to have their passports stamped. At each visit, patrons must show their library card, and then the library will stamp their passports and give them a small gift.

The program is open to adults and children, and the intent is to encourage residents to explore public libraries.

If patrons visit and have their passports stamped by at least five participating libraries they can turn them into a participating library by May 7 in order to be entered into a statewide raffle. Raffle prizes include a $150 Visa gift card for adults and a $100 Visa gift card for children under 18 years old.
