NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce will hold two early-bird release sessions of tickets for its annual duck race.
The race is the highlight of the chamber’s Duck Race and Festival, which is in its 13th year this year. The duck race is a fundraiser to help area nonprofits, schools and civic organizations. Tickets are $5. For every ticket sold by an organization, the chamber will donate $2.50 to that organization.
There isn’t a required amount of tickets organizations need to sell to participate. Over the past 12 years, the chamber has donated $356,000 to participating community organizations, a press release stated.
The chamber will release tickets early on March 19 and April 2 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the chamber’s office, 270 Church St. This year’s Duck Race and Festival is June 3.
