WATERBURY — Scott A. Galloway, 50, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, peacefully at his home.

Scott was born on April 18, 1967 in Waterbury, a son of Janet (Bilodeau) Ireland and the late Arthur Galloway. Scott graduated from Naugatuck High School, class of 1985. He then went and furthered his education at the Connecticut School of Electronics, and graduated with an associate’s degree. He was employed by Coyne Textile as a delivery driver for many years. Scott worked his way up at Coyne and was eventually promoted to be the service manager. This promotion was one of his proudest accomplishments. Upon the closure of Coyne Textile, Scott started working for Atlantic Pavement Marking Inc., where he loved his work and his co-workers. Scott was an avid sportsman. He loved to golf and spent many hours on the course. He was also passionate about softball during his younger years and played for many Waterbury teams. Whenever Scott had free time, he loved to spend it at two places where everyone knew his name: Rich’s Eggspress and Giovanni’s Restaurante. The owners, employees and patrons of those two establishments were a second family to him, and he loved them very much. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Scott had a quick wit and was the king of sarcasm. He could easily pull a one-liner out of thin air, and it was always the funniest thing anyone has ever heard. His fashion sense, good looks and his charismatic personality drew people towards him. He made friends wherever he went. Scott loved music and dancing. He was blessed with rhythm and had the ability to dance like no other. One of his favorite singers was Frank Sinatra, so whenever a song by Sinatra is played, think of him. Scott was loved by many and will be very missed.

Scott is survived by his daughter, Sarah Kiley Galloway; his mother, Janet Ireland; his sisters, Kelly Healy (William) of Naugatuck; Jennifer Kosko (Timothy) of Waterbury; his nieces, Shannon and Emma Healy and Lily Kosko; and his nephews, Charles Healy and Nathan Kosko. He is also survived by Sarah’s mother, Julie Trzaski, and his lifelong best friend, Mark Neville. He is predeceased by his father, Arthur Galloway.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 at 6 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m.
