MERIDEN — Mark Andrew Selinske, raised in Naugatuck, died unexpectedly Jan. 15, 2018 at his home in Meriden.

Mark was born Aug. 15, 1960 in Waterbury, a son of the late Robert and Marjorie (Raeburn) Selinske.

Mark graduated in 1978 from Holy Cross High School in Waterbury and was a member of the wrestling and golf teams. He graduated with high honors, receiving a full scholarship to Northeastern College, Boston, for his academic excellence, and he also attended Bridgeport University.

Mark worked at SNET CO and multiple telecommunication companies throughout his career. In addition, he recently obtained his CDL license.

Mark’s biggest passion was being a sponsor for Narcotics Anonymous. He was a speaker and advocate in his church and community helping many others battle addiction. Mark enjoyed fly fishing, golfing and spending time with family in Maine.

He leaves his sisters, Sandra (John) Snabaitis, Woodbury; Susan (Edward) Metcalf, Cheshire; Diana (Brian) Best, Naugatuck; his brother, Scott (Traci) Selinske, Plantsville; and his seven nieces, three nephews and very dear twins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 11 a.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.
