WATERBURY — Joseph C. Mastropietro, Sr., 85, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 at his home. Joe was the devoted husband of the late Marion Ella (Straw) Mastropietro. He was born on Dec. 21, 1932 in Waterbury, son of the late Michael, Sr. and Carmella (Scarpati) Mastropietro.
Joe worked for many years at Reliable Factory in Waterbury. He was a simple man who enjoyed working on cars with his sons and who absolutely adored his wife and loved his family.
He is the beloved father of Paul Mastropietro and his wife, Roberta, of Waterbury, Joe Mastropietro, Jr. and his wife, Sue, of Waterbury, and his three daughters, Charlene, Carmella and Rosalyn. He also leaves his nine loving grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Amber, Austin, Robert, Michael, Raymond, John and Angelina; his cherished great-grandchildren, Sophia and Khloe; brother, Vincent Mastropietro; and his sisters, Rose Cerrillo and her husband, Tony, of Waterbury and Genevieve Fusco of Waterbury. Joe was predeceased by his brother, Michael Mastropietro and his sister, Cynthia Vogali.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 at Jesse Camille’s Restaurant, 615 Church St., Naugatuck, CT 06770 from 6 until 8 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck has been entrusted with his care.
