Obituary: Ann T. (Bookless) Birch

NAUGATUCK — Ann T. (Bookless) Birch, 64, of Naugatuck, died peacefully Jan. 3, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife and soulmate of William Birch.

Ann was born in Bethesda, Md., July 18, 1953, daughter of Jack Bookless and the late
Ann (Bohan) Bookless. She worked at Uniroyal Inc., Peter and Paul, as a private duty certified
nurse’s aide and most recently at Hayden Switch in Wolcott. She enjoyed camping, riding on their Harley with her husband and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband and father, Ann is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law,
Christina and John Balzano of Naugatuck, Janice and Anthony Coppola Jr. of Waterbury; brothers, John Bookless of Naugatuck and James Bookless of South Carolina; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Bookless.

All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main
St., Naugatuck.
