Letter: Meeting a testament to an informed electorate

To the editor,

I would like to thank everyone that came out to vote at a town meeting Jan. 3 on the multiple important issues facing the town.

Voters had the opportunity to ask questions directly from those involved, and both sides of the debate were heard for each item. The results are a testament to the importance of an informed electorate that votes with the facts in hand.

Though there is still more to go, it was the first step in getting the town better positioned to face the challenges we have, allowing experienced professionals to fill key roles, a more independent Board of Finance, and the funding of the capital projects approved during the budget process.

  1. With competent leadership we will move forward. Unfortunately we lack a true knowledgeable leader. The crucial answers to the questions asked were answered by Joe Rodrigrio.
