NAUGATUCK — The Ion Bank Foundation recently awarded the Naugatuck YMCA $15,000 that will be used to build the “You Belong: Adaptable Playscape.”

The money will be combined with grants and donations previously received by the YMCA for the playscape.

“This donation will go a long way as the YMCA is now one step closer to being able to provide an outdoor play structure for the children enrolled in our programs and in the Naugatuck community as a whole,” said Naugatuck YMCA CEO Susan Talbot in a press release.

The adaptable outdoor playscape will be built in the spring behind the YMCA on Church Street between the YMCA’s staff parking lot and St. Francis Church. The YMCA will be recruiting volunteers to help with the build over a two-day period.

For more information or to donate, call the YMCA at 203-729-9622 or visit naugatuckymca.org/you-belong-playscape.
