NAUGATUCK — Stephen F. Kelly, 59, beloved husband of Debra (Pavone) Kelly, passed away unexpectedly at St. Mary’s Hospital on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017.

He was born in Bridgeport on Dec. 30, 1957, son of Clarisse (Lefebvre) Kelly of Fairfield and the late Frances Kelly. A Naugatuck resident for the past 26 years, Stephen worked as a sales consultant for Unique Salon Concepts in Middletown, N.Y.  He was a well-known baseball umpire and football referee in the area, and truly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Besides his loving wife Debbie, he leaves his children, Amy Kelly of Naugatuck, and Daniel Kelly of San Diego, Calif.; his three grandchildren, Ashlie, Brooke and Dakota; his brother, Patrick Kelly and his wife, Judith, of Shelton; his sisters, Susan Bristol of Fairfield, and Colleen

Meeker and her husband, Harold, of Shelton; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, followed by a funeral service to begin at 7 p.m. Members of the Naugatuck Veterans Council are asked to please meet at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
