BEACON FALLS — The cause of an Oct. 31 house fire on Kaleas Way is still undetermined.

The early-afternoon fire destroyed the home at 38 Kaleas Way and displaced the Denovellis family.

Officials called in the state fire marshal’s office to help investigate the cause of the fire. On Monday, Beacon Falls Fire Marshal Eddie Rodriguez said the cause of the fire is going to be left undetermined because there are possible causes the state fire marshal is unable to rule out.

Rodriguez said there is no suspicion of foul play. The investigation will remain open, he said, but it’s unclear if an exact cause will ever be determined.

Dino Verrelli, a neighbor, started a fundraiser online at www.gofundme.com/denovellis-family-relief-fund to help the family recover. As of Monday, over $10,000 had been raised.

On the fundraiser page, Verrelli said the family lost everything they had in the fire.

“All personal items except for the clothes they had as they exited the house were lost,” Verrelli said.
