NAUGATUCK — The Board of Education has hired Tiffany Deitelbaum as the new assistant principal at City Hill Middle School.

Deitelbaum, a 21-year veteran of the district, will make $98,127 in her new position.

Deitelbaum previously worked as an instructional coach at Cross Street Intermediate School and has taught sixth, seventh and eighth grades in the district.

She won the district’s first teacher of the year award three years ago and was a semifinalist for the state teacher of the year.

She was one of 200 out of 4,000 applicants to represent the state on the National Learnzillion Dream Team creating model lessons and instructional design.

“She’s been a tremendous asset to the Naugatuck public schools for her whole career,” Assistant Superintendent of Schools Christopher Montini said.
