WATERBURY — Yolande  M. Wabiszczewicz, 82, beloved widow of Michael Wabiszczewicz, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 at Autumn Lake of Bucks Hill surrounded by her family.

She was born in Gap Hautes-Alps, France on April 11, 1935 and moved to Waterbury on July 10, 1961 with her family. Yolande retired in 1997 from Honeywell, Inc. after 21 years of service.  She was a longtime parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and was a member of the Polish National Alliance. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great–great grandmother who was truly proud of her family.

Yolande is survived by her daughters, Marie-Claire Grendzisiewski and her husband, Chester, of Waterbury, Helene Cannady and her husband, Gregory, of Waterbury, and Maryse Bolduc and her husband Richard of Florida; her five grandchildren, Keith Wabiszczewicz and his wife, Jenn, Jessica Fair and her husband, Maurice, Michael Forbes, Jr., Lisa Spear and her husband, Tim, and Jonte Hofler and her husband, Anthony; eight-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staffs of Regal Care of Prospect, Autumn Lake of Bucks Hill, and Hartford Health Care Hospice for the kind and compassionate care given to Yolande during her illness.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck. Entombment will follow in Calvary Queen of Peace Mausoleum, East Main Street, Waterbury. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
