To the editor,

I am writing this in honor of Sally Brouillet, who is on the Nov. 7 ballot for Zoning Commission in Naugatuck.

Sally has been a resident of Naugatuck for 11 years and looks forward to the potential waiting for our borough to materialize. She has previously served approximately six years on the Zoning Commission (some of those as vice chair) and is well-versed with the rules and regulations of the commission. During those years, she has consistently considered the welfare of our 32,000 plus residents in any decision made, large or small. She has contributed ideas to the commission that became regulations. She understands that the obligation of a zoning commissioner is to follow the zoning regulations designed to promote the general welfare, quality of life and economic viability; all of which inadvertently contribute to raising our property values.

Previous to serving on zoning, Sally joined with other concerned residents forming and passing Naugatuck’s Blight Ordinance, which is designed to keep our borough clean and upscale, and also served on the Beautification Committee with the same purpose in mind.

In the private sector she has had years of experience working with international banks and letters of credit, overseas shipping via air and sea, balancing financial accounts, customer service, etc. She is a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and is very good at getting done what needs doing.

I had the pleasure of working with Sally almost 40 years ago, and we are still very good friends to this day and actually neighbors also.
