BEACON FALLS — Florence Mary (Frappier) Murdock, 92, of Beacon Falls, wife of the late Royal Murdock, entered into eternal rest peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017. She was born in Waterbury on June 14, 1925, beloved daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (O’Brien) Frappier.

Florence was a devout communicant of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church of Beacon Falls and was a member of its prayer group and Ladies Guild. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School of Waterbury, worked for many years in manufacturing and retired from Risdon in Naugatuck. She was an avid reader, loved to crochet and enjoyed raising dachshunds for many years. She loved spending time with her family and many friends as well as keeping up with them on Facebook. Florence will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts.

Her loving family includes her three sons, William E. Murdock of Thomaston, Royal G. Murdock of Terryville and John C. Murdock and his wife, Robin (Sue), of Prospect; her three daughters, Florence M. Drown of Beacon Falls, Joyce M. (Murdock) Nesta and her husband, Alan, of Beacon Falls and Ann V. Murdock of Beacon Falls; her nine cherished grandchildren, Carol, Paul (and his wife Cindi), Karen (and her husband Joe), Jeff (and his wife Kristin), Kim (and her husband Kevin), Johnny, Jake, Josh and Matthew; her eight cherished great-grandchildren, many treasured nieces and nephews, and her loving dog and companion, Frankie. Florence was predeceased by her two infant daughters, Maureen and Carol Murdock; her infant granddaughter, Marilee Murdock; her two brothers, William and Edward Frappier; and her sister, Margaret (Frappier) LeClerc.

A funeral service in celebration of Florence’s life will be held on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017 at 9 a.m. in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (Route 67, across from Klarides Village), Seymour, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 25 Maple Ave., Beacon Falls. Interment at Pines Bridge Cemetery will follow. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017 from 4 until 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions in memory of Florence may be made to her church, St. Michael Church of Beacon Falls through the funeral home.
